We are happy to be a Registered Number Plate Supplier! Although in order to purchase your plates from us we need to see two types of documents;
Proof of your Name and Address (Proof of Identity)
Proof that you`re allowed to use the registration (Proof of Entitlement)
Proof of Identity
You can use the following to confirm your name and address:
Driving Licence
Utility, Council tax or rates bill from the last six months
Bank or building society statement from the last six months
National Identity card
Proof of Entitlement
You must present to us one of the following to show you`re allowed to display the registration number:
Log Book (V5C or V5CNI log book)
New Keeper slip (Green Slip)
Certificate of Entitlement (V750 or V750NI) to the number
Retention Document (V778)
A renewal reminder for vehicle tax or SORN (V11 or V11NI)
Temporary Registration Certificate (V379 or V379NI)
A number plate authorisation certificate (V948) with an official stamp form the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) or Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
An electronic number plate authorisation certificate (eV948)
It is against the law to provide anyone with registration plates without the registered plate supplier checking ORIGINAL documentation to prove Identity and Entitlement. As stated on the government website…
So how can you show us your documents?
Well… this differs whether you are collecting your plates or having them delivered…
*Delivery Orders* - you will need to provide original documentation by post to our business address. Be prepared to respond to any questions regarding your ID and Entitlement information.
*Collection Orders* - you will need to provide original documentation and present them upon collection of your plates.
